In The Line of duty

As the morrow busk in delight,
I prepare self for a day that might bleak-light,
Not knowing whether I can make it through,
But I soldier on as I embark on a journey of the unknown,
Whether the possibility of seeing my offsprings grown,

Will i get to experience or will they cry at my demise for the sacrifices I've made for my beloved country,
It is such a daunting experience but I find refuge in the fact that I might safe a live or two,

My profession sees no danger,
I dwell and succumb to fragile spaces to see to it that earthlings sees no doom,
Whilst most of you are safely quarantined in your rooms,
I'm here with fear that looms.
